The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) recently announced the winners of its first Bio-Art contest.

During the course of their research, scientific investigators produce thousands of intriguing, dynamic images that are rarely appreciated for their purely aesthetic value.

This intersection of art and science is an awe-inspiring window to our world. Such imagery, when considered as an art form, is an opportunity to engage us in the scrutiny of life through the lens of science and technology – without being scientists.”
